I currently plug the city water intake as a temporary fix. Water pump that still worked was replaced with new one, still have water pumping back out the city water intake. I changed the impeller on the pump the system is tight as the pump builds up pressure and shuts off. I run the water and there is water pressure for a few seconds an then little to no pressure.
The ShurFlo water pump has a manual switch for operation and up until a few weeks ago after I replaced a leaking connector it worked just fine. Now when I turn it on, it just pumps water back out the exterior fresh water connection where we connect our hose. Any ideas as to the cause? Also, is it common for the pump not to come on when connected to a shore water supply? The fresh water inlet is connected to a T with one side going to the galley faucet and the other side going to another T with one side of it connecting to the output of the pump and the other side going to the bathroom.
Since it had been working fine, I did not suspect incorrect plumbing.

Sites are mostly downhill, gravel, but are workable. All are long and will more than accommodate a big rig. There is no pool, no playground equipment and basically no infrastructure any kind. We booked our reservation by e-mail and everything was efficient. Now the downsides, and there are several. There is virtually no cell phone service, TV reception or Wi-Fi. We tried the Wi-Fi several time, had almost no signal, then were dropped.
